Christian Aid week - 9th - 15th May

Envelope deliverers/collectors needed!

Credentials:

  • A few hours spare during the week 9 – 15 May 2010
  • An ability to reach all types of letter boxes
  • A smile!

If you think that you might be able to spare a couple of hours during Christian Aid week, distributing and collecting envelopes, in particular in the area around St Nicholas', please let David Owen know.

Calling all creative people

At the end of July we are planning to have an arts and crafts exhibition at St Augustine’s church, linking creativity with spirituality. So if you are someone, or know of someone within the church community, who would be willing to exhibit some of your/their work and share a few thoughts on how talent and spirituality combine please contact either Pat on 779975 or Hazel on 773911.

Annual Meeting - 18th April 2010

A reminder that the Annual Meeting of Parishioners and the Annual Parochial Church Metting is on Sunday 18th April after a United Service at 10am at St Andrew’s.
Please note that as in previous years this will be the only service on this day. Nomination forms are now available for churchwardens (2 for each church), PCC members (there are vacancies to represent each church and its associated congregations – please ask churchwardens for more details) and DCC members (all elected annually). There is also a vacancy for a PCC minute secretary.

Moving Prayer - 24th April

Come and join us at St Nicholas’ Church on Saturday 24 April between 2.30 and 4.45pm for our next session of meditative circle dancing. We will be led by Mary Callaway who will teach us simple steps and movements to bring us to prayerfulness. The cost will be £3.00 which includes light refreshments.
