Ascension Day - Thursday 21st May

You are warmly invited to mark Ascension Day at the Parish Eucharist at St Augustine’s on Thursday 21st May at 7.30pm (please note there is no Eucharist at 9.30am that day), followed by the traditional bonfire and barbeque.

Parish Development Group Meeting - 14th May

The next Development Groups meeting will be on Thursday 14th May at St Nicholas’ at 7.30pm (7.15pm for refreshments). As well as catching up with latest parish news there will be a presentation and discussion about the new diocesan Authorised Lay Ministry training courses and how these might support our local ministry and mission. There are fliers about the ALM scheme in each church. We look forward to seeing you on May 14th.

Church Jumble Sale - Saturday 9th May, 9.00 am

Café & Cake Stall - 2nd May

Your help will be needed to staff the café and cake stall at the Parish Centre on St Richard’s Day from 10am to 4pm, so please can you spare an hour to help? Annual Parish Meeting - Sunday 26th April

The Annual Parochial Church Meeting will take place on Sunday 26th April after a united Parish Eucharist at 10am at St Andrew’s. Congregation members from age 0 upwards are warmly encouraged to meet for worship on this special occasion to affirm our life together in the Christian family. We hope there will be some particular activities for children. Please note the time of the service and also that this is the only service in the parish on this day.

After the meeting, which will include the opportunity for informal discussion on parish developments as well as the business items, we are invited to lunch together at about 12.45pm. If you could volunteer to help with any of the arrangements for lunch contact Hilary Fisher (798551).

Moving Prayer

Mary Callaway will be coming again to St Nicholas’ Church on 25 April at 2.30pm to lead us in more meditative circle dancing. She will teach us a variety of dances which will hopefully bring us to inner stillness and peace. The cost will be £3.00 which includes light refreshments.
